Was in Chicago in 2012 the night he won and so proud to have been in Chicago four years later/last week for #obamafarewell. Honored to have had the chance to play even the smallest of roles in all the good this man has done for people all across our country—and the world—over the past eight years. Gonna miss him in the White House, but the fight isn't over—it's only just begun. #obama#chicago#chicagogram #obamalegacy #instagay
"Make a career of humanity. Commit yourself to the noble struggle for equal rights. You will make a better person of yourself, a greater nation of your country, and a finer world to live in." #mlk#mlkquote #mlkday #mlkquotes
Attending President Obama's Farewell Speech last night was a melancholy but wonderful experience and a sort of bookend for me since I got involved on the campaign in 2012 and was in Chicago on election night when he won.
He said last night "My fellow Americans, it has been he greatest honor of my life to serve you." I can only reflect that back and say I will be forever grateful for having had the chance to play even the smallest of roles on his team and will forever cherish the fond memories and friends I made on the trail.
Took a canal cruise to see the #amsterdamlightfestival and got to see a whole new side of the city, which is stunnngly beautiful at night! Also learned that **annually** 15,000 bikes are fished out of the canals — 15,000! 😳
