The Fort of Las Palmas dates back to around 1470, when the island of Gran Canaria was conquered by Juan Rejon. The building to the right of this photo was home to the Governor and it is likely that Christopher Columbus stopped here on one of his journeys to the Americas. It now houses a museum exploring his travels and how the new world was slowly discovered and how the Canary Islands played a vital role as the gateway to this new land. #BrooksiesFact
This captures my feelings about the Burj Khalifa pretty well. Quite literally an unbelievably tall building. At 829m it is twice as tall as the Empire State Building
Amazing spontaneous trip to Burnley for the annual Paiton family bonfire night

This famous photo of Steve Jobs was the rear cover image on the 1st edition of Walter Isaacson’s biography of him. Taken by Norman Seeff in February 1984 in Steve’s living room, with the first ever Mac, it featured on the front cover of Time magazine. This print from Seef’s workshop proudly hangs on my bedroom wall, signed and numbered. It was not expensive, but it is priceless.
