Worked with these amazing active-duty @USCG volunteers, spouses and friends to bring much-needed supplies to a neighborhood in San Sebastían. Many relief agencies are leaving, but PR still needs help.
It's been 57 days since hurricane Maria. Yesterday I tagged along with @uscg volunteers stationed in #aguadilla to distribute bottled water, MREs, water filters, toiletries and baby supplies in the towns of Moca and San Sebastian.
We met a woman who lost everything and is now living with 9-10 relatives in a small house. We saw moms with little kids who need diapers. We met older couples who are just getting by. There is no running water. There is no electricity. I continue to be amazed at the resiliency and hopefulness of Puerto Rican people. Everyone shares what little they have. They're community-oriented, civil towards one another, kind, loving, grateful and in need of so much help.
