Oh, man. I can’t believe I downloaded this app just to do this.
The many moods of glass. Gray morning.
Otherwise known as Minnesota Spa Day.
Looking forward to that balmy -3 on Tuesday.
What a journey. This glass started life in an 1800s church in Monmouth, Illinois. My friend @dianaleacook salvaged some broken windows, removed the glass, and created this beauty from it. I can’t begin to guess how many hours she put into this over months and I think years because projects this big have a way of getting put aside when life intrudes. In October, @maramar1 and I drove to Dubuque, Iowa, to pick this up. It still needed to be framed, which presented another challenge because of the fragile glass. Martha had never framed anything before, but with supples from a stained glass site, and tools from the Saint Paul Tool Library, she was able to do it. It’s now a perfect fit.
She’s pouting because there’s another dog in the house. 😹
Stepped in the dark house to see this shadow. Couldn’t see a place where the sun had managed to creep in, and in what felt less than a minute, the shadow was gone and there was no sunlight on the wall. Real life. #tw#shadowbird#accidentalart
Exhausted after a long day of carpentry. #grrrl power.
