“Bring it home 2018.”
We wallpapered over wallpaper for this year’s family motto. Take your light and your goals out into the world 🌎, follow through by bringing that goodness back to where you’re loved and safe at home 🏠. Home has taken on a new meaning year as we sold a home we loved, are renting this house (let’s hope it really is removable wallpaper 😬), looking for a new one, and realizing that home can be anywhere we’re together. (Where we love Ross with his backwards “R” and only my family would could love me looking this homeless... 🤗!) #bringithomebarbers#ourwallpapereife#mybarber2018#mismatchmichelle
This amount of cuteness should not be allowed to be vested!! 🍪 Cookie Sales 🍪have it the streets. Swipe to listen to promo videos from one timid, yet determined, Daisy learning all sorts of skills and confidence. ❤️❤️❤️And one bold, first-cut unphased (even by the screaming baby) Brownie. I sure love these two hard working, independent, and so unique girls. They rocked their first sales day. You can read my very favorite Girl Scout Cookie story and how to order in person or online at:
“What is most important almost always involves the people around us.” -Thomas S Monson
I’ve been trying really hard to think about what President Monson’s message was to me. As a prophet, the leader at my work, and an example, he always encouraged us to focus on what is most important. In the end, truly caring about those around us is what matters most. And that President Monson genuinely exemplified.
So thankful we were able to attend his viewing today as a family (with one adopted friend) and share a prayer of gratitude for him and all that he represents. #mybarber2017
Could you imagine competing in a math completion IN CHINESE!!?? Last week our family did a lot of hard things that scared us. But this one I think is the most impressive. Jetta called me before the competition scared and upset and sure she wouldn’t compete though she had been looking forward to it. It broke my heart I couldn’t be there with her. Then the best friend and mentor to us all @nicolemoultrie stepped in, shared some confidence, and before I knew it I got this picture. ❤️❤️❤️
I’m sure there will be lots more times we’ll be scared, hope we jump in like she did. #jettarobin#lessonsfrommypeeps
House hunting is kind of fun and kind of stinks at the same time. But, we did find this fantastic diagram that Jetta drew. So if anyone knows of a house in Kaysville that meets this criteria (don’t forget the bunny’s room, the outdoor “spaw”, and a room for Audrey the Doll) please let us know. 🏠 #househuntinginkaysville#jettarobin#notuptozoning
Introducing the cutest and newest GIRL SCOUTS!
🍪 Cookie SALES 🍪 coming to your doorstep (and online! 🙌) next week! We are possibly a little exited. ❤️ #myBarberscouts
Thanks to all who came and supported during my swearing in ceremony to City Council this evening.
I gave some impromptu thoughts at the end (https://youtu.be/OT81Ue6MR4U) about how great it has to see so much of “What’s Right in Kaysville” and the wonderful residents I get to represent. I know I will be a better person because of the great, diverse, people I get to work with.
What I failed to mention, and probably better because as soon as I do the tears flow, is my gratitude for my family. They all should have been sworn in too for their commitment. Everyone who knows me knows I have the most wonderful, supportive husband who is the action to my ideas and the silent (and sometimes not so silent!) reason our family functions at this pace and has such a great time doing it. And my children. They are the most resilient, enthusiastic, and loving I have ever known. They are no strangers to work and sacrifice and they inspire me to be better. (And they could not contain their excitement to get guissied up for tonight!) My awesome mom. She’s pledged her 1st and 3rd Thursday nights to homework, dinner and bedtimes. The ultimate thankless job. And my siblings, aunts and uncles, and so many friends. Thank you.
Tonight we were real with crumbs on the floor, a sick baby, barely on time, not the best at posing for pictures, but most of all excited. #blessedwiththeincredible#mybarber2018
