Geo Social/Digital Strategy Mgr in Chicago by day. Solo world traveler, proud auntie, coffee lover, random reader, and movie nerd by night.
#tbt to sunrise over the steaming lake during our arctic chill. Damn that’s a pretty but cold view. (📷 by @mcahearne)
Grocery store visit went a little off track tonight. But, I do have desk candy again. Priorities.
Working my way through the award season movies, and this one was a gem. Then, I almost walked in to the wrong theater and an employee yelled at me, “ma’am are you lost?” 🤦🏻♀️ IG Story review of Lady Bird is up till Tuesday at 8am CT. #latergram
Three years ago I left for a three month trip that stays close to my heart every day. I’m so grateful for that time and for the person it delivered home. I can’t wait to be there again. (And posted this just before the day was done!)
Bend the knee to the new Queen of the North / Lady of Dragonstone. And bring me better lighting in my throne rooms.
It’s still cold here, but damn the river is pretty when it’s frozen. Temps are supposed to jump to 30-40 degrees starting tomorrow, so I went out for a few quick photos before our heat wave.
IT had a touch screen with the words “Try Me” on it. I made GOOD use of that while my computer was being fixed. One IT guy came out, saw it, and said “oh my, you’ve been busy.” 😁💪🏻
Mexican wrestling (Lucha Libre). It was at the top of my must-do list while in Mexico City. Most people get his excited about restaurants, me, I was FIRED UP about going to watch a two-hour wrestling match. And it was everything I hoped it would be and more. Such a fun night.
I dedicate every New Years Day to hibernation, laziness, and eating. The last two years I made a picnic while traveling, but this year was different so my picnic was homemade with pour over coffee, streaming, and pajamas. Happy 2018!!
My New Years Eve is a chill night in PJs with streaming, pizza, snacks and canned sparkling rose (fancy!). 2017 has been full of change. Things ending, new things beginning. And through that, I’m grateful for my friends and family, and all of you. 😘 Happy New Year!
Final days in #mexicocity included a field trip to some ancient ruins (w/a lot of stairs), exploring, more eating, enjoying the festive lights, and Mexican wrestling. Now, with a surprise upgrade to business on the way home, I’ll see you soon Chicago (I hope). I am not ready for the cold.
Amazing day exploring Coyoacán, San Angel, and spending more time with Frieda and Diego. And more adventures in ordering things that get a little lost in translation but taste delicious.
