What an amazing year it has been!! Added 7 new countries to my list of places I've been, went to two fab weddings, dined in countless new and fave restaurants, and celebrated Canada 150, all with my favourite people. Not to take away from living in the now, but next year's #topnine will undoubtedly be one for the record books: turning 30, new condo, new car, and new adventures, #leggo!

What an incredible weekend! I can't think of a more perfect way to cap off an amazing two weeks than with some of the most important people in my life. It's been 9 years since we've last seen each other, HK, but you're just as fun and cool as ever. I'm so blessed to be able to travel and spend time with friends (essentially family) all around the world, experiencing new fabulous things. Most importantly, celebrating @jwcwhy's wedding has been one of the highlights of my LIFE. 18 years of friendship and counting, girl! ❤️ •

What can be better than spending a fantastic weekend with amazing friends, celebrating the happiest moment in Jane's life? Oh right, doing it on a fab boat on a sunny day in Hong Kong. #liveyourbestlife

What a fun and delicious last night we had in #Osaka!!! Thanks to Chie from @arigatojapan for the awesome food tour around #Dotonbori!
•
The running man sign is the oldest sign in the neighborhood and is the logo for the parent company who manufactures Pocky! He's been there for 80 years.
•
The illuminated and exaggerated signs of Dotonbori.
•
A wee shrine in a wee alley.
•
Michelin rated takoyaki place Doutonbori Akaoni.
•
Deeeeelicious gyusuji and sukiyaki at an izakaya.
•
Kushikatsu (breaded and fried meat/veg/mochi skewers) at the famous Daruma.
•
Ending the night with a classic red bean filled waffle in the shape of a red snapper. Did you know that red snapper is an expensive fish in Japan?

Had an emotional and moving day at the #Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum yesterday. They definitely put a human face to the impact of the bombings, including the countless children who were all killed. It's crazy to think we're still living in a world where the exact same nuclear threats exist. .
.
The A Bomb Dome was left barely standing, despite being only a 100m away from the blast site. It stands as a legacy to the impact of nuclear destruction. .
.
Origami cranes are a symbol of the museum, where they represent rebirth and hope. The cranes here were presented by the Obamas in 2016.

Best seat in the house, vol 6: Nawa #Sushi in #Kita, #Osaka. Sushi was so good we ate everything before thinking to take pics 😅. Managed to get one of the crab guts though!

As if this 100% gold foiled temple wasn't beautiful or magical enough, the overcast sky, drizzly conditions and changing fall colours made it even more spectacular.

#Shrine dedicated the gods of rice and sake. After ditching the hordes, we climbed further up the mountain, where all we could hear were the birds, trees and bamboo. Frequent throughout were statues and figurines of foxes, believed to be messengers of the rice gods. The 10,000+ orange frames are replaced every 10 years by the business community, asking for success in business; the black lettering indicates the company that has donated it.

Best seat in the house, vol. 5: #omakase-style #tempura and this 10-seat restaurant that ONLY serves tempura. 9 courses included shrimp, pumpkin, chestnut, gingko nuts, mushroom, baby corn, green beans, white fish, and eggplant. The best stumble upon experience!

Best seat in the house, vol. 4: one #Michelin starred #ramen house, #Tsuya in #Tokyo. Delicious, rich shoyu ramen with a perfectly jammy egg, fatty and flavourful iberico char siu, and of course, the springy noodles. The broth was not oily at all, and the spicy sauce complemented the flavours.

First night in #Kyoto had already been super fab! Our #ryokan, a traditional Japanese inn, is so cute and lovely. It has a gorgeous outdoor garden and we've already enjoyed the public baths. Gonna be super relaxed and ready for a full day of sightseeing tomorrow! And yes, we are wearing yakuta robes 😊.
