Isn't it just awesome to see joy like this?
We started taking photos of the kids sliding into the pool, but it was pretty harsh sunlight...so Joelle ran to the car to grab a reflector. For this photo, she's standing to the left of Forest reflecting the sun onto the shadow side of him. This is filling in his face as well as adding extra highlights on the water. Adding that reflector took this photo to a whole new level!
Have you ever come across a little girl who was WAY more mature for her age? Kind of like an "old soul"? Well, that's Ava. She LOVES the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's, so we did a photoshoot with her replicating some of the promo images they used in the movie. When all was said and done, we had a bunch of amazing images of Ava that I'm sure she'll treasure when she's older. And, of course, her mother treasures them NOW.
I love making little ones look so epic!
In this case, we took Mason a distance away from the large excavator so that it could still be in the frame while getting Mason in the shot head to toe.
You can see from his shadow that the sun was bright and coming from camera right, so we had a reflector on the left hand side to get some light bounced back into the shadow side so you can see his eyes nice and clear. After that, we just needed to get Mason's dad to act ridiculous behind me so that we could get him looking in the right direction!
This is our niece Raine! We did a photoshoot with her as a birthday present when she turned 4. I really feel like photos like this are so much more valuable than a toy or some clothes could ever be. #childrensphotography#kidsphotography#fairytail
4 year old's really are so much fun to photograph. For a photoshoot like this, all the little details really take it up a notch. And I love the look of infinite grass behind her. One of the advantages of having a good zoom lens. #kidsphotography#childrensphotography#jedi#jadethejedi
