#tbt to a week ago and the last send of the trip to Albarracin. This last trip to Spain has been one of the most memorable trips that I have ever been on. From late night bickering on an extra long couch in a 5000 sq ft apartment in the middle of Madrid, to Gin and Tonics in a town square on a rest day in Teruel. I miss you Spain. I can’t wait for the next adventure. Let me know if you have any beta on South Africa 😉 #bouldering#rockclimbing#torontoarcteryx#jrhbteam#jrhbteaminspain#albarracin#escalada

First day back in the office and it was tougher than I thought it would be. Even though it feels good to be home, I can tell a part of me is still in Spain. @email@example.com thanks for meeting me Madrid. Cheers to one hell of a trip. On to the next adventure.
Second last day in Spain and the lack of climbing and training from the past month is starting to catch up to me. Currently being held together by hopes, dreams, and climbing tape. I definitely injured two other fingers yesterday which may have ended my chances at sending the two projects that I came here for. Psyche was pretty low until I started working this problem, Zooruyo 7a. Stoked to still be climbing and pulling pretty hard. Hoping for some decent weather tomorrow to put in some really good red point attempts. #bouldering#rockclimbing#torontoarcteryx#jrhbteam#jrhbteaminspain#albarracin#escalada
With only three climbing days left, I'm in full project mode. Outside of warming up, I spent all my energy and attempts working the project. Made a new high point and finally stuck the crux, but couldn't hold it since my forearms were burning trying to hold the two finger pocket. Super stoked to jump back on it in the next two days. Venga!!! #bouldering#rockclimbing#torontoarcteryx#jrhbteam#jrhbteaminspain#albarracin#escalada
10 months ago, I wasn't sure when I'd be back in Albarracín. 7 weeks ago, I injured my finger and wasn't sure when I would climb again. 13 days ago, I thought I had the stomach flu and was scared I might miss this trip. And now here I am, back in Spain, rock climbing! I couldn't have done it without the support from friends and family, and the care of my doctor and chiropractor. Thanks to everyone involved for getting me here. Truly blessed to have this opportunity. #bouldering#rockclimbing#torontoarcteryx#jrhbteam#jrhbteaminspain#albarracin#escalada
Sunday was the weakest I've felt working on this boulder. Just over 3 hours into the session, I finally broke through and reached a new high point. But no send. Despite feeling tired and sore, I was determined to send that day. I should've walked away. Instead, I gave it another go and injured the ring finger on my left hand. I instantly thought about my climbing trip to Spain next month and feared for the worse. This is my first major finger injury since I started climbing over 5 years ago. 3 days later, I'm becoming more optimistic about the situation. The finger feels much better and my doctor thinks I'll recover in time. My summer climbing season is officially over. I'm sad that it came down to this. But I'm staying positive and ready to move forward. 6 weeks to not only come back from an injury, but also be strong enough to climb in Albarracín. Challenge accepted! #niagaraglen#bouldering#rockclimbing#torontoarcteryx#jrhbteam
