30 〰
I feel like I have finally done it right. It feels quite relieving to wave goodbye to my 20s. Not because it was bad or unpleasant. In fact, when I reflect back, I feel as if I have done everything and more than I could have expected. This past year has shown me so much about myself and what I'm looking forward to for the future.
My early 20s were so experimental, being raised with rather tradition Asian parents, I took it upon myself to bring them into the modern age...in retrospect it was probably too extreme and wild.
I think my late 20s have been the most significant due to a few things. I some how managed to meet a man, Kyle, who has changed everything about my world. Who continually challenges me, loves me, and devotes his time to make my day special everyday. I am so grateful and so fortunate. I have finally learned the importance of fostering valuable friendships and relationships (though it is a work in progress. Marie knows I'm a bit anti social at times 😂 and sides with me when we can't deal with humans) I've also learned how special it is to hold on to the friends you meet in your late 20s, who have such uniquely different personalities and each bring their own color to my life. I've also learned the value of growing closer to my family and finding myself become best friends with my sister...also not forgetting to keep those were close to me even closer because they've brought such joy, comfort, and laughter into my life. Lastly, find a job that I love and people I enjoy working with.
Some friends lovingly gave me some advice per Kyle's request and apparently the top three themes are: wear sunscreen, travel to find adventures, and exercise because apparently your body gives in. I've got some work to do then. Already failed #1 by forgetting to wear sunscreen today 😫

Finally, I ended my 20s with a new job, an engagement, and a new home. I have NO idea what surprises my 30s may bring. But I'm incredibly excited to be embarking on this journey with all the wonderful people around me. Thank you all for the birthday wishes, videos, hugs!! ❤️ .

Thanks to Rachel from @bradandrachel for capturing a sweet moment between Kyle and I during our family photo shoot! We've discovered that we're fairly awkward behind the camera but laughed and looked at each other and Rachel caught this! Great practice for the wedding hahaha
@bradandrachel hope it's ok taking this from your blog!

I've never been able to grow orchids but Kyle's mom inspired me to start! With a little care and ALOT of patience, the second phase of blooms are coming out beautifully! 😍
