"Each time a woman stands up for herself... she stands up for all women." ✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿
Your girl finally finished her first half marathon! I think I will walk normal in a week. Great experience, and the runners that showed up were awesome. I can finally put the 13.1 bumper sticker on my car lol. It’s a good start to 2018! 🙌🏼🏃🏻♀️
New year, same attitude.
After stuffing my face in Chinatown, I had to end it with a Churro Daddy at Red Circle Ice Cream! 🍛🍱🍤🥟🍦☺️
I’m just saying! What are you waiting for?
Having my last dinner of the year with @acesoftaste Platinum & Posh Party 🎊🎈🥂
When you tell Jared to take cute pics of you at the museum 🙃😂 #HAHMP
In 2018 I will be writing more about women I know and have met that are making an impact in many ways. They will be part of my “Caro’s tribe”. Before the year is over I wanted to interview Jennifer. We have seen each other grow up since high school and I could not be more proud of her accomplishments. She recently graduated with an MBA degree from @uhdofficial 💁🏻♀️🎓. Being a Latina woman now comes with more responsibilities and power. She has demonstrated all that and then some. #Ontheblog I talk to her about her career, education and her personal life. Get to know Jennifer!
Merry Christmas from Smokey and I🎄🎁
34 years ago today my mom moved to New York from Colombia🇨🇴. She was only 20 years old! She didn’t know anyone and only knew a few second cousins but they were distant. She had to learn the language on her own, find jobs on her own, moved to Long Island on her own, and she never gave up. She established her life in New York without any guide but with just a dream to move to a country where the possibilities were endless. And by luck lol, my dad met my mom. When she tells me her stories on how her 20s were in this country, you could see the excitement of all the new things she learned. Of course my dad has his story too because he came years earlier before her but today is special day because 3 years ago we took a family trip to relive the place where we used to call home. ❤️🏡 I am so proud of my parents and I am even more proud of my mother who decided to take on a new world without any regrets. That’s why she’s always supporting me on the crazy ideas I get. Her gut kept telling her that she needed to make that move to New York, and she didn’t hesitate! I hope to be like her one day!
