Had a great two weeks in Thailand with my mom! Thank you @vickiestelleparr for enduring the smog/heat of Bangkok, the madness of the lantern lighting in Chang Mai, and the various ways that my lack of preparedness led to travel woes. I really did enjoy traveling with you, the beautiful scenery, delicious Thai food, and difficult conversations only family has sometimes. Here’s to hoping the jet lag isn’t so bad!
Last day in Thailand: Climbed 1200+ steps for this view! And got to learn how to cook some classic Thai dishes!
Thailand Day 9: Got really sunburned and did not see any sharks, but had a great time snorkeling!
Thailand Day 8: Did some climbing on the coast today!
Thailand Day Six: Missed the train to Bangkok but had an amazing day rock climbing in Northern Thailand jungle.
Thailand Day Four: Hung out with some elephants today. It was a lot fun.
Thailand Day Three: parades, sketchy lighting of lanterns, and more Pad Thai.
Thailand Day One: Bangkok temples, delicious street food, and constant sweat.
Those Seattle Fall colors!
Enjoyed the little bit of sun today. 🏃
October calls for kettle corn and haunted corn mazes.
Thank you to everyone who celebrated with me this weekend or wished me a happy birthday! I am thankful for you all! There were difficult moments this year but also so much to be thankful for. What’s been really impactful has been this year’s efforts to improve my self, be better at work, and connect closer with others. I read 7 new books, some of them very formative for how I think. I traveled to new places (Iceland/Boston/Chicago), pushed myself to do more (ran my first marathon), and made more effort with those I care about. In just a few days, I will have finished my first year at my first full-time job (The Spur Group). Looking forward to what 24 will bring!
