Here at the Basilica of the Annunciation, pilgrims will also be greeted by a plethora of artworks from different nationalities portraying the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Infant Jesus. These artworks range from intricate mosaic works to grandiose sculptures decorating the walls inside and outside the main basilica. Artworks such as this one from Egypt, may not resemble the common depiction of Mary and Jesus that we are so used to.
