Small town resident and lover of blazers with elbow patches...
New acquisition for the Golley Home.
Cannot tell you how excited I am to have a @weirdvoid painting in our house! This guy is not just a talented painter...he’s a true friend, an honest man, and one of the kindest humans I know.
Day 1. 2018 seems to be perfect so far... Happy New Year friends!
First annual Bear Wolf Christmas party! Missing a few kiddos...but so thankful for these friends who live in our houses. Each of you is an incredible gift! I am honored to get to be a tiny part of your Florence adventure!
Torn up and teary eyed. Damn proud to be an Alabaman tonight. Thankful. Well played sweet home Alabama.
I am not originally from Alabama. However, I’m blessed and grateful to live here, and call this place home. This is my home, my town, and my state.
The 12th of December is a big day for our state. It is a big day for the nation. I’m proud that regardless of the outcome, I was able to bubble in my ballot for a man that I believe in. Here we go Doug!
One more (because I took a ton). I do not get to explore landmarks everyday...but today is a good day.
Obsessed and in love with this building.
This past week I️ was asked to list one of my favorite buildings in the Shoals. This incredible three story structure was built by Captain Keller (father to Hellen Keller), and retains so many mysteries and secrets. I’m overwhelmed and excited to get to play and dream within these walls with folks who understand the spirit behind bringing back pieces of our shared history. More photos to come.
I am so beyond grateful to live in this community of amazing, loving humans. One of the kindest and most joyful/accepting men I know is displaying a collection of his latest work at @truenorthflorence tonight during the @7pointsartistgroup art crawl.
@weirdvoid you are a great friend, and every day that I see you, you make me smile and laugh. Thank you!
Oh, and for those of you admiring this one...that tiny star on the wall by this painting, means it's mine! So keep your mitts off people!
These two... So many studio terms, harmonies, and music lingo being thrown around... They are smart and talented. I'm just going to hang here...
A few hours ago I received these simple words from one of my best friends. @jonathanocasio is an amazing husband, father of two, pastor, and incredible entertainer.
When Maria hit the island of Puerto Rico, he and his family were away from their home and community. Days later he was on the move to get home to help.
I love this man. I trust this man. I am honored to be his friend. On the way back to the island, as his phone lost service, he told me how the community around their (our, when I lived there) church was affected, and how we could help.
Today he is back on island...going in. Going back to areas without power, water, and general safety.
Here are his words on what they are initially planning, what they need, and how to give:
1. An electrical generator of at least 9 kilos.
2. 15 Mattresses
3. 2 saws for the MA Brigade that is responsible for removal and cleaning of areas in the community.
4. Everything we can receive from basic necessities to gas stoves, etc. Suggestions:
. Canned food
. Gas stoves
. Complimentary toiletries
The Plan is to start operating on Thursday or Friday, without electric power distributing the aids we have now (Not many). That is where we will put to good use the initial financial donations we will receive.
The easiest, fastest and more safe way to give is:
Sending a text message to 787-416-0776 with the desired amount and the word PRHELP
