The Northern CA fires are giving San Francisco an incredibly eerie feel. Everything smells like bonfire, has an orange glow, and feels dim. Everywhere you look, people are wearing masks and avoiding the outdoors.
It’s strange being here after being in Seattle for our wildfires earlier this summer. It’s similar but more potent, and there’s sadness as it seems everyone has a personal connection to someone affected by the burn.
