I'm not a very knowledgeable person when it comes to the intricacies of health care legislation. But I've learned that a lot can be learned from just observing the world around me. What I saw today was that John McCain had a brain tumor surgery performed on him, then he flew back to D.C. to vote on allowing forward another vote on a bill that would take away the opportunity for tens of millions of people to have access to the same level of healthcare. And in this tweet that I'm sharing here, McCain said he doesn't even like the bill that's coming, yet he still helped to advance it? I have a deep respect for him and what he's gone through in his life, but I have to acknowledge that more and more it seems like the Republican Party has no compassion for those less fortunate for them.
Adorable daughter story for today. This is the bottom half of a co-sleeper bed for small babies. The girls like to get in and play in there. This morning I was awoken by Anastasia sounding distraught. I heard her say "you'll be in their forever and you won't get any dinner!" While playing in there Anastasia accidentally pulled the zipper all the way off. She started crying because she trapped her sister, and Ella was crying because she thought she would never get out. I was able to use some needle nose pliers to get Ella out. Both the girls were very happy.
