Quietly while you were asleep • The moon and I were talking • I asked that she'd always keep you protected • She promised you her light • That you so gracefully carry • You bring your light and shine like morning • And then the wind pulls the clouds across the moon • Your light fills the darkest room • And I can see the miracle • That keeps us from falling • She promised all the sweetest gifts • That only the heaven's could bestow • You bring your light and shine like morning • And as you so gracefully give • Her light as long as you live • I'll always remember this moment

#flashbackfriday a year ago today, went on an adventure to Charlotte to see my fave band ever. Elena is so incredibly sweet and i basked in the glow of her purity and presence. her musical composition, lyrics and her vibes on stage with her amazing guitarist bf and rest of her band mates touch me deep inside my soul all the way down to my marrow.

come out, to the sea my love
drown with me.
if you leave
when I go
in the shallows.
lying on my back
watching stars collide
i love the peace
the sea gives me,
as if I am made
from the salt itself,
staring out into
the swaying of
my true mother.
living life with a full heart
a woman that gave her love and gave her all to someone who had nothing to offer her back. the transfer of energy is real. when you pour your feelings and yourself into an empty person… they will eventually destroy you. know your worth and surround yourself with people, places and things that won’t leave you spiritually empty.
we are free to love yet stay on branches no longer holding us up to see ourselves. once it breaks, chaos ensues and we lose our minds because they told us how it would be, but showed us who they actually are. not everyone will want the best for you, and when that person turns into the keeper of your heart, run. i promise you it will be frightening, but it will be the most courageous thing you will ever do. keep company with those who find happiness in the simple things and you will see how the ocean speaks of love in each wave it makes for you. there’s a reason why the shore never goes lonely during the silence of night • zachry k douglas
suffering for the one you love is not love. it’s an awful excuse to continue to lose yourself until you are unrecognizable and is the worst thing that can happen in your life. find your tribe, know who you are, and when you get there, you'll wonder why it took so long before you listened to your intuition. it’s the one thing we all have, but don’t trust because we are afraid of being right • zachry k douglas
She is strong because of how she holds the sky together when everyone around her seems to be falling apart. Her hands have traces of the stars and is a map of the soul within each one. It takes every breath she has to get the task done, but she's breathing fire and courage. Over time her heart has bled and pumped life for those who told her they loved her, then left without saying a single word. It doesn't matter to her anymore. She's done with people who only see themselves in the mirror when they're standing next to her. She has been tested by her fair share of heartless individuals, and yet, still walks the earth unscathed. The true test of a person's character is how well they treat those who break their spirit by doing nothing at all except cause them pain..... • zachry k douglas
