In some seasons of life that are particularly taxing, I need perspective. And sometimes that comes in the form of reading random facts about whales...then drawing a whale because I’m awestruck by God the Creator: •
did you know that in any area shared by whales, everyone sings the SAME song? Over time, the song will change, and if the new song is catchy enough, it will spread to other populations of whales. When a new whalesong comes out, it’s sometimes a sort of remix of the previous song.. literally like top 40 WHALE EDITION. •
• ///I cant get over how intricately God has designed everything on the planet.. which is a HUGE reality check that i need to daily trust him with the smallness of my life. (This is post 34566 of how COOL our God is!)
Exhausted, totally humbled, and overjoyed to experience this past weekend. || Didn’t get a chance to snap many photos- mostly because I spent the weekend talking to incredible missionaries, doctors, nurses, and team members who are daily putting Jesus’ commission forefront in their lives. CANT WAIT FOR NEXT YEAR. #gmhc2017#globalmissionshealthconference
Louisville gets better by the day.
you can't imagine the self-control it took to walk out of that used bookstore with only FIVE (especially after PAYDAY people)
Autumn 🍂 will always be my favorite season... it's so symbolic for 1,000 reasons (that I'll spare you from pondering with me) but mostly IT'S SO COZY Y'ALL. And that makes my heart abundantly happy.
'We stand, when we are young, on the sunny slope among the pines, and look across an unknown country to the mountains.
There are clouds, but they are edged with light. We do not fear as we dip into the valley; we do not fear the clouds.
Thank God for the splendid fearlessness of youth.
And as far for older travelers whom the Lord has led over the hill and the dale, they have not been given the spirit of fear.
They think of the way they have come since they stood in that bright hillside , and their word is always this:
There are reasons and reasons for hope and for happiness, and never one for fear.'

I've been reminded lately that a balanced life can truly only be achieved if you trust Jesus to balance for you. ||||\\|||
Actually, it's a lot like leading a couple of horses down a dusty path. They trust you so fully and pretty much walk in step with the pace you set. |||\\||| so often, I don't let Him "take the reins" (corny, I know) and simply lead me to a destination I would otherwise never find or be frazzled to get to along the way, wandering around the bushes sticking my rear-end with thorns. ||||\\|||
Ya get what I'm saying? Basically, I'm praying Jesus slows me down and guides me to the important things in life.
My best friend got married today// And we all wept and laughed and danced all day.
Throughout the whole weekend, (in the midst of chaos) emily would calmly ask "how ya doin?" To every person around her-- which is SUCH a testament to her true character; she loves fiercely, loyally, and with a steadiness ive never experienced before. /// and y'all, Preston loves his people the same way. So you can bet we were all pretty blessed by these two all weekend. What a blessing!
This world needs more couples who love like THE TIPPETTS (MR & MRS!!!)
But God's not finished. He's waiting around to be gracious to you.
He's gathering strength to show mercy to you.
God takes the time to do everything right- everything.
Those who wait around for him are the lucky ones. || Isaiah 30:18 (msg)
prolly spotted a seal or something. //overjoyed to have a weekend of celebration and rest in my favorite place with the best people.
