One of my favorite pictures from Iceland. On our second day we went to a hidden hot spring for two that sits on abandoned farmland. This was by far the coldest morning during our trip, which made the water feel that much better. The view was unreal. #Iceland ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ธ

@jamesfinnell I like that style - I did something similar for Newfoundland. Sounds like it's good to go before heavy snows/dangerous driving. We were trying to pick between London and Iceland and if it's April I think we'd still be in the snowy season...

@mynameisjaclyn We stayed in a different hotel every night. This allowed us to see a lot each day since we weren't wasting a couple hours driving back to the hotel we started at. Outside of Reykjavik it can get pretty remote so Airbnbs aren't too available, but if you plan it out right I'm sure you can manage to find one most nights. The only tour like activity we did was snorkeling Silfra, which was awesome, we used Dive.is for that. We rented a car and had a list of things we wanted to see each day, some of which tours don't go to. Driving in the country is really easy. Outside of the city every main road is two lanes. We spent 8 days there and did the Reykjanes Peninsula, Snรฆfellsnes Peninsula, the Golden Circle, and the South Coast up to the Glacier Lagoon before heading back west. We want to go back and do the West Fjords, and the North/East regions.

We're looking at booking a trip soon! Any suggestions on who you used for a hotel or Airbnb? Tour guides? How many days to fit everything in? Thanks!

This is #Silfra, the crack where the North American and Eurasian plates are splitting apart. It has some of clearest water on Earth as a result of glacier melt being filtered underground by lava rock for 30-100 years. The water was about 37ยฐ and we snorkeled in it. #Iceland ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ธ
