I make stuff. Variety of items for sale on Etsy. Ravelry name:JanSmiley I also organize the fall and spring Carolina Fiber Frolic Retreats
I wear my purple #ceilidh so much that I’m making another- no chance of getting these 2 colors mixed up.
This is the sweater I’ve been preview knitting for @brooklyntweed that I couldn’t show you. Today the pattern collection launched, so yay - now we get to see all the new patterns and add to our ever-growing queues!
Designer: Gudrun Johnson
Yarn: Loft in the Tartan color
I enjoyed knitting this sweater so much: interesting texture, yet simple. So wearable! I have project notes on my Ravelry project page (I’m JanSmiley there too). Additional photos on Rav also. Swipe through to see several here. 🔅
Thanks BT for asking me to participate. I feel honored and had fun! #btwinter18
I’ve been under the weather all day. And now my knitting projects are all at a point where I don’t have the brain space to move forward. Nor the energy to do anything about it. So I found this long neglected travel project. Handspinning Cashmere. It can’t hurt, right?
One more row til I bind off the back of my Oshima pullover. I’m loving both the pattern & the Luft yarn my Mr gifted me. Drinking mint tea this #instaknitnight My knitting goals for 2018 are to be more mindful of my existing stash & less impulsive acquiring new yarns. I have several other sweaters I’m really looking forward to making this year too!
Sweaters are my favorite thing to Knit. #brooklyntweed patterns are my most worn & loved sweaters, so when asked if I was interested in participating as a preview knitter for BT, is it any surprise that I said yes? This was my go to travel and movie night project this fall. My sweater is done & ready for the #btwinter18 collection release next week. Hopefully, it will also be warm enough for me to get outside between now and then to get some FO pictures. The Tartan colorway i used is hard to capture accurately inside on an overcast day. I can’t wait to see the rest of the new collection !
Picking up the provisional cast on. Which must mean I’m getting close to finishing this infinity cowl. Seems it’s taken an infinite amount of time to knit it too, since it’s been a back burner project for months...
Sitting in front of the fire, reading & enjoying the quiet while snuggled in my Veronika. Didn’t realize I’d put it on inside out til I snapped this pic. Well, it’s just as warm this way 😜 HaPpY NeW YeAr !
Swatching my gift yarn while wearing my ugly sweater pajama pants. Hope you’ll having a lovely day too!
