Happy Sunday!!! I was conflicted because I had this perfect little Pilea but felt like it's beautiful foliage conflicted with the designs for my other pots. So I decided to make this cute guy with just a simple top and happy feet to compliment the happy plant!

YAY for getting stuff out of the kiln!!! It’s amazing to be back and have stuff come out of the kiln so fast =D. Here is a pretty large planter I did at the end of last year, hope you enjoy it!

First week back in the studio and my it's been productive :D. Threw and trimmed 6 bowls, 4 mugs and a planter (which unfortunately broke when I was putting it on the shelf to be fired :'(). So excited to get these back!

For those in Sydney – I'll be back in Sydney March 22 and will be able to bring all orders over back then :). Once again, thanks again for all the love and help in supporting me do something I love!

I am also happy to do something custom if you just DM me :) .

Wanted to wait to take a proper photo of this when I get back to work and have access to a lightbox but I was too excited!!! This is one of my favourite pieces yet :D it's a 7" planter made in speckled buff that I taped out to make a pattern before dipping in white. When making something so big, the clay shrinkage of 12% makes a big difference so you have to throw HUGE - sometimes it even takes me a while to figure out which piece was mine because it's so much smaller than I remember .

Here's a bit of a half fail - I really loved the outside and the shape of this pot, but unfortunately the slip to make the pink was not put on properly on the inside, hence it being a bit streaky. Might try to do a better version again once the studio opens up again! .

MERRY CHRISTMAS! Hope your year was filled with as much joy and love as mine was! Here's an older platter I made with oxides on white gloss glaze - I needed the white base because this was thrown on a slightly creamy clay called bmix, but it washes out the stain colors. Since then I've started throwing with whiter porcelains but wanted to post some older work :). This is a 12" platter :). .

Experimenting with peach underglaze on bmix. To get the ombre you have to dilute the underglaze and then paint it on from the bottom in 10+ layers - even when it's undiluted you need to put 3-4 layers on for an opaque coat. .

Been looking for a Pilea plant for a long time and finally managed to happen upon one! Love how it looks in this pot - I like how the conical shape compliments the bush at the top, though it kinda obscures some of the design .

An earlier dining set I made a month or so ago. Decided that I didn't want to pick a bowl or a plate so I made a set of 'blates', and am currently waiting on actual plates to come out of the kiln.

Though plates look pretty easy to throw, their large mass means that they often don't dry evenly, leading to cracks. So far I've made two sets of plates, and had at least one crack in the bisque stage each time :'(. Not sure if anyone cares about these captions but thought it might be nice to explain the process a little haha.
