Realise the difference? @thesushibar_sg serves them in THICK CUT! Not often do you find your sashimi serves in thick cut and it does make a difference in the entire taste experience. Of course, everyone have their own preference, but thick cuts were definitely my preferred choice.
Everything in the bowl is FRESH! The tamago (japaness egg omelette) was slightly sweeter than what I have tasted before. The rice is just #heavenlicious! The next trip here, my mum is gonna love this.
Dragon Roll (Tiger Prawn Topped With Unagi & Avocado) - SGD25.90
HOW CAN ANYONE RESIST A DRAGON ROLL! This is so fcukin' good, I would want to have a second serving if it wasn't at this price tag. 😂
The bursting flavour of the prawns complements with the avocado and unagi. The cucumber gave it a refreshing taste and the sauces blends everything together in your mouth. Its like a symphony you don't want to end. I will definitely go back for this. So good!
In a Japanese restaurant, you should never be amaze by the knife skills of the chef, yet I amazed by how thin these scallops were! As a #mentaiko fan, this is not my favourite combi as I would love more mentaiko on a mussels or oyster, baked/torched to perfection. 😝
Our postponed-too-many-times-dinner! Grateful for a friendship that blossom beyond work. 🍻 to a more exciting 2017 ahead, where we hit our targets, reach our goals and fulfil dreams that makes you who you are! 😊😊
Aburi Kaisen Chirashi Kamameshi With Soup Set - SGD28.80
Their Kamameshi is the unique dish offerred by the restaurant. Highly recommended by my colleague and I had to try it to see what's so good about it. Turns out to be superbly awesome! The rice was flavourful and comes with generous amount of ingredients. Took half the portion out and poured in the soup. NO REGRETS! Its super awesome! Must try!
Ramen Nabe (Seafood Tonkotsu) & Chicken Karage Set - SGD22.80
The soup is a bit too thick for my liking, but the flavours are well packed in it! Different from many other ramen, this noodle/ramen is long flat noodles, which was kinda disappointing. The chashu was also not round in shape and thin in slice, but 3 big chunky slice with a 80/20 meat & fat ratio. Overall, yes it's good! 😝
