You don’t ever really prepare for a day like today. And yet you spend your whole life preparing. It’s not always easy to remember — that every interaction is finite. But today, I am grateful for all of the time that my dad spent over the years building our relationship. And shaping me, whether I knew it or not. Because that was a choice, and that’s why everyone loved my dad so much. He made that choice every day. Thank you to everyone that reached out and lent support during the past week. Your love was felt from around the world. These are some of my favorite pictures with my dad, and a beautiful poem written by @moniniedzwi.
Israel update Part 3: miscellaneous
Here’s our full group, filled with artists, writers, managers, label reps, PR reps, and everything in between. It was great to be exposed to such a variety of interesting people in a pressure-free environment. We checked off the main tourist spots (Wailing Wall, Dead Sea, etc) but here are some of the sights (and sites) that reflect my experience last week.
Israel update Prt 2: Jerusalem
This is a place of pilgrimage for so many people, including our group. Seeing the old city, a Holocaust survivor + museum, and Biblical sites was fascinating. I was surprised to find, however, a bustling creative epicenter, which we experienced through art, music, and the local restaurant/bar market. Highlight was a concert festival at the Tower of David that went on until sunrise.
Long overdue, but here are Israel Highlights, Part 1 (Tel Aviv)
Had a great start to my Israel music trek with 40+ new friends (and many talented musicians). We were led by an amazing guide, @bauertrails as we learned about the coexistence of the Old + the New that defines Tel Aviv. The city has some of the best tech innovation in the world, fantastic beaches and even better sunsets. A highlight of the first few days was the late night jam session with performances by a few of the artists on the trip.
IG/FB fam, I'm off to #Israel for a week. A couple months back I applied for Reality Music, a trek put on by the Schusterman Institute. Cheers to @wping on the recommendation 🙏🏼. I'm not entirely sure what to expect, but from what I've been told it will be something special. Looking forward to getting to know new people in the music biz, learning more about Israel, and taking time to reflect and focus on development. I'll make sure to post updates along the way or else I'm pretty sure @moniniedzwi would disown me. 🤦🏼♂️✌🏼❤️🇮🇱
Big ups to the one and only BK Broiler @bradleyklahn for being a champ. Great to see him healthy and back competing. US Open qualies singles, main draw doubles and mixed this year. Keep grinding my dude.
