First day sliding on snow at home. Pleasantly surprised to see the spines in form.
Action needed today if you like to slide on snow in our National Forests? Today is the last day to comment on Winter Wilderness travel. (Skiing and Snowboarding).
Winter travel is being re-evaluated across the country.
Your comments matter! Lassen National Forest is the first forest in the country to write a comprehensive winter travel plan under the 2015 Over-Snow Vehicle (OSV) Rule, so what happens here is very likely to impact winter travel planning across the country.

Holy Schnitzel...what a sales meeting! One of the highlights of the year is getting reps, distributors, engineers, designers, riders and employees together celebrating the fruits of our labor and making lasting memories.
Greenland Glory sniped on my way to Europe for a week of business.
Understandably this will elicit the response of "how can you care about climate and fly to the other side of the world?" This line of thinking has cut my "snowboard" travel down to close to nothing but the business travel has been more challenging. The reality is that Jones is an international company and many of my sponsors are overseas, as well.
While 90% of my business interactions are via Skype, the face time we do get is not only necessary but invaluable. And better only one of me flying over there instead of multiple people flying to me.
The reason I bring this up is that while we as individuals should be conscientious of our personal footprints, the reality is that we'll never be perfect. And there is this misperception that you have to be perfect to care.
If we waited to be perfect we'd never get anywhere. And I am pretty sure the world will not be better place if we never experienced life outside our home town.
A surreal experience as @clark.corey leads the way as we follow in the footsteps of the late Alex Lowe in his backyard sanctuary.
I always heard of his climbing endeavors but this trip really opened my eyes to what he did on ski's.
There was a power crew of yet to be legends, including #hanssaari & #dougcoombs that did unprecedented things out here.
The next day I joined combat veterans at @beartoothpowder hut for a powerful few days of mountain healing.
Alex’s son @max.lowe just made an amazing film about our trip leader @stacyabare’s war experiences and how he used the mountains to recover.

A year ago our country elected a climate denier as President. Since that time I have made my work with @protectourwinters and climate change my top priority. It is time to get off the sidelines and into the game. Please join me and help to Protect Our Winters.
It’s been really rewarding bringing #LifeofGlide to the surf community the last few weeks and see them get reinvigorated on snowboarding.
Having @chris_christenson73 at @prooflab for the Q&A and listen to him breakdown the fundamentals of hydrodynamics and how they relate to big wave boards and snowboards was next level!
Starting with my first pro model 15 years ago I decided if I am putting art on a snowboard it is going to feature mountains.
I am always searching for new mountain artists. This led me to @rp_roberts a few years ago. Since that time he has become a friend and we continue to explore new ways to feature mountains on snowboards.
I love this quote from him. “So yeah, draw, draw, draw, paint, paint, paint and don’t be afraid to try new mediums and mess up. You’ll always take something positive out of trying something new and making a mistake.”
Words to live by for all aspects of life!!!
