My sweet, wonky van has been a trusty ride for my week in the Upper Peninsula. Up here you can go for miles without touching bare pavement, and the AWD and 4.3L Vortec keeps me humming right along. My Fiesta ST might have been fun on the roads with its winter tires, but I would have had to shovel it out of parking places every morning and afternoon! Roll on, Safari! It's earned a new sticker for the side window and a thorough wash when we get back to civilization. 🚐❄️
With Toyota announcing the end of the @scion brand today, here's a quick remembrance of the Scions we've had. They were quirky little cars, fun and different. Mechanically sound, but body parts might as well have been Legos. I dig the attention to some pretty random details on the xB, like fold-flat seats for camping and tons of storage cubbies. I can imagine the 1st-gen xB being something of a collector car in the future. Here's hoping for more fun small cars from Toyota and others in the future!
