Having a super fun morning with this little fella. So nice to have a warmer morning every now and then for longer walks!
Tried a new recipe/method this afternoon, and I'm excited to give it a taste. First time I tried making bread in a Dutch oven, and the simplicity of the process is really appealing.
"Just in time for bedtime". Trying out a different recipe for some dinner rolls.
Dutch breakfast cake (or ontbijtkoek, if you prefer) was always a family favourite growing up. Ours doesn't include rye flour like virtually every other recipe I've seen, which I imagine gives it a slightly more cake-like texture. It's delicious right out of the oven, but amazing the day after. Plus, it makes the entire house smell fantastic.
Spending the day with this little devil makes me just so goddamn happy.
Lasagna with handmade noodles with the aforementioned breadsticks. It's been a really good weekend for food. I'm stuffed.
Last night @nellekat made this amazing fried halloumi (a copycat recipe of a dish from Citizen), and she absolutely nailed it first try. Our serving size is... larger, but still somehow I would have happily consumed more.
Braided Parmesan breadsticks to enjoy with tonight's lasagna. I Can't stop picking at them...
For Sunday breakfast, these will do nicely. Very tempted to crack into them tonight, though.
