Siem Reap is filled with tuktuks turned into bars. They line the streets surrounding pub street. With only 6-8 stools per bar, it feels very much like Tokyo's Golden Gai. I love it.
I wonder where people go.
The best thing about HCM is the cafe culture. There are so many amazing cafes and they are tucked away, creating the sweetest oasis from the hustle and bustle of the streets. We discovered this cute treehouse cafe covered in plants.
Stumbled across one the most beautiful and humbling memorials I've ever seen - Thích Quảng Đức the monk who set himself on fire 54 years ago yesterday.
We ventured to a new neighborhood in #HCMcity to try new foods.
Day 9: While wondering the streets of Tokyo, we can across a street filled with beautiful chanting. This is the Hanazono Shrine Festival.
Morning commute. It's not unusual to see parents driving scooters with babies in tow. Many families just have one scooter, so the entire family of 4, maybe 5 or 6 climb on board and hit the road. Today, this lil guy had some one on one time with Mom (or Mẹ, Mom in Vietnamese).
Day 8 - @Flightfox found a flight for nearly half the miles we could! Our findings: 360,000 roundtrip for 2 people in Business class vs. the flight they found 160,000 roundtrip for 2 in Business. (A steal considering economy is only a few thousand below that). So we flew @United business class from LAX to Tokyo Narita. Here's our experience.
