Praying today that I can teach my children to represent Jesus as well as this man did. ❤️
He may not be able to say all of the ABCs yet, but he can tell you the name of almost every ship from Star Wars. ❤️#priorities
2017 was a year full of changes and challenges. The biggest and best change being the addition of Poppy Lou to our family. She’s the missing person I didn’t know I needed until I held her in my arms. I’ve walked through fear and sorrow, and have had loads of laughter and joy. I’m grateful for it all. Each hard moment pointed me to Jesus for strength, and each joyful one was a reason to be full of thankfulness to my God. That being said, I’m really ready for a new year. Bring it on, 2018.
This is what happens when two moms try and take a picture together. 😂❤️ Love you @kaitbell_
We may of had one kid who refused to smile and Ian had to hold Poppy’s head forward, but we got a Christmas picture. 😂
Merry Christmas, everyone. This was one of my very favorite ones. ❤️
The prettiest Christmas Day. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
If you’re having one of those days where you feel like you’re just failing at life, you can say “at least I didn’t wash a book in the washer machine like Kelsey did.” 🙈🤦🏻♀️ #papereverywhere
Doing a Christmas craft with the kids is a great lesson for me. I call the lesson “Calm down and stop being such a control freak about messes.” 😂🙈 🤶🏻
Blurry two year old, an unfinished Christmas tree, and matching pjs. ❤️
Hanging out with this sweet babe while her siblings are asleep. And I’m letting her play with all of the toys they don’t usually let her touch. 😂😬
So very thankful for these four people. I am blessed beyond measure. ❤️
I am the mom who loves to bake with her kids. I am the mom who loves Christmas more than most things in life. I am a homeschooling mom. I am the mom who loves to teach my children about how to show God’s love to others. I am the mom who feeds her kids too much sugar. I am the mom who apologizes often. I am the mom who loves to sing and dance with my kids. I am the mom who loves to read to my kids. I am an oily mom. I am the mom who will always listen when my kids need to share their hearts with me. I am the mom that teaches my kids how to do burpees and squats (sorry, kids). I am the mom who asks for the grace of Jesus to get me through every day with my little ones. I am the mom who will find any excuse to take everyone out for donuts.I am the mom who finds excitement and joy in the silliest and smallest things. I am this kind of mom.
Ralphie from @simplyonpurpose came up with the #iamthiskindofmom challenge. Challenging moms to discover their strengths as a mom, and celebrate them. She is such a breath of fresh air in the social media world, and I encourage you all to follow her! It’s so easy to focus on who you are not as a mama, instead of focusing on who you are. So any of my mom friends, I challenge you to focus on your strengths and who you were created to be as a mom. May you find encouragement and so much self love in doing so. ❤️
