Even though I don't live in NYC these days, coming here is always such a great energizer. Have had a great time this week at the @skiftnews Forum catching up with lots of people and walking the streets of one of my favorite cities.
Hiking is rough. You get covered in dirt, sweat and blisters. Your lungs burn for air on steep uphill climbs. But in exchange these moments of pain, you also earn moments of magic, where you literally feel on top of the world. For me, this past Sunday morning, standing at 14,505 feet on the summit of California's Mount Whitney, was one of those moments. The sight of the first glowing rays of orange, red, yellow and pink light slowly creeping their way up the peaks of the Sierras will stick in my memory for many years to come. #highsierratrail#hiking#mountwhitney
Just coming back online after a seriously epic 5-day, 70+ mile hiking trip along California's High Sierra Trail. More photos coming soon, but here's a quick preview of my view at Timberline Lake. 🏞 #hiking#highsierratrail
