🌁 Thank you to @realheritage for convincing me to get out from behind the lens that day. He snapped this with our backup camera using our last memory card, and with almost zero battery left on anything. In fact, he got about 7 shots before everything died. This was one of them. 🙏
Discernment + Optimism sometimes leads to Mountaintops and Magic. All of it is so overwhelmingly worth the wait.
این نیز بگذرد / This too shall pass.
This phrase often gets used when explaining how the bad stuff won't last forever, but it actually means all things are temporary, and more importantly, all things are in a constant state of change.
I try to remember this when I feel stuck or upset, but especially when something really great passes by, and I want to really cherish it. Like when you've reached the end of an exceptionally delicious meal. You know you can't just keep eating forever, but there's one more grain of rice and a bit of sauce left, and you decide the only way to properly honor that grain of rice and all rice that has ever come before it is to lick the plate.
Maybe the phrase should be "lick the plate" instead?
Resting within each unassuming moment is a restless wild eager to be sought.
