💙💙 A piece for Ayden💙💙
💙 The one that made me a mom.
💙 The one that teaches me courage.
💙 the one that strives to please despite any challenge he may face
💙 the one that wants to be included
💙 the one that proves with patience and determination you can achieve 💙 The one that each and every day helps me become a better me. 💙 AND the one that my heart skips a beat for is my first son, Ayden! •
My oldest son Ayden, is an autistic 11 year old who has been attending a special needs school called Northern Valley Regional Programs, since the age of 3. This school has helped Ayden develop skills that he lacks or severely struggles with. Areas such as how to communicate with others when language is a challenge, ways to function in the community by taking trips to the grocery store or restaurant, how to better handle himself during very hight anxiety levels to decrease tantrums and there severity, how to make transitions, and the list can go on and on. •
The teachers and staff in the school and in any special needs school for that matter are miracles for our children and their families! The teachers chose to do this and many of them face full blown tantrums that times can lead into a dangerous encounter. To them, it’s not the danger but the dedication to help any child find a way to calm themselves down without feeling such high levels of anxiety! We are so grateful for every teacher/staff member in Ayden’s school. They are a community that everyone knows everyone and will go above and beyond for any child and their family. •
As April is “Autism Awareness” month. I will be doing a fundraiser to help Ayden’s school with funds needed to provide special programs, activities and therapies needed to service students. Services such as music therapy, community trips to public restaurant and stores to model appropriate behaviors, yoga, sensory room equipment, along with many others.
The fundraiser will last for 4 days, March 28th to March 31st. This could help Ayden and his peers tremendously! So, it is with great gratitude that I ask to please try and contribute! 💙💋 #autism#autismawareness#lularoefundraiser#autismmom *
