A full weekend of friends, nature, giving back, trying hard, and making memories. Yosemite is my special place, my third space. My friends gather around a crooked picnic table in the dark to share chocolate, drink from the same bottle, and tell stories. We make new friends quickly and cheer them on. Once in a while we are reminded to give back to this awe inspiring place and find that it is yet another opportunity to take in its beauty from a different perspective. There’s granite dust on the shore of the Merced from the rockfall last week reminding us that the rock is changing and merciless too.
It’s always a shame to see the Tuolumne Meadows campground close for the season when conditions are still pretty good for climbing.
Flash back the #womanup#womensclimbingfestival on Saturday. Here's Nina Williams absolutely crushing the final bouldering problem. After a weekend of climbing hard, learning, and celebrating my psych level is dialed to 11. It was so amazing to be a part of a climbing event organized by women and for women. Climbing routes that were set by woman is truly next level and pushed me to try hard. There's a change happening and it's huge.
I had an amazing time at the #womanup#womensclimbingfestival time! So inspirational to see women climbing super strong. Here's climbing legend Lynn Hill crushing a comp route. Let's do this again! 💪
