I made these fun porcelain ornaments with a glass inlay of my favorite Central Kentucky carbonated beverage! Selling them for $12 plus shipping. Local pickup available if you're near Mt. Sterling, KY. (Limited quantities available)
Channeled my inner Simon Leach today and tried 2 new things. Throwing on a kick wheel and doing a rolled rim on this little bowl. Note that there's no electricity powering this baby. It's people powered. I took my foot and kicked away at that concrete slab disc below. It was a neat experience but not as much when it's 48 degrees out and your hands are all wet! I'll be doing it again for sure once I see how badly my thighs and calves hate me.
"Mom, take a video." (Not sure they know the difference between a video and a photo.) #MyKidsAreSoRandom
A fantastic weekend at Linville Gorge was preceded by a stop in Historic Downtown Morganton, NC to visit @hamiltonwilliams Gallery. Something I've wanted to do for about as long as he has been there. So far, my daily use of this mug of his continues at home on this #mugshotmonday. There is something so satisfying about drinking from this mug. Maybe it's because I held off so long from buying it. Probably more so it's just the thoughtful and efficient design, the perfectly flared and comfortable lip, the buttery and understated glaze, or the tactile throwing ridges that I can't keep my hands off of. Thanks Hamilton, you've done a fine thing in creating this mug. Everyone out there, go visit his gallery and studio. #ncpottery#ncpotters#artgallery#ncfoothills#thrownclay#ceramics#claylove#wheelthrown#morningcoffee#handmademug
Words cannot express how excited I was to find out that brick and mortar video rental still exists.
