We took our final camping trip in Stella this weekend. It was bittersweet, but we made the most of it with hiking, boating, swimming, and playing in puddles.

My best friend since we were 2.5 years old, Joel (@vingerjoel), got married over the weekend just outside of Jackson, Wyoming.
The weekend and all the festivities felt more like a summer camp than a wedding. It was so much fun to see old roommates and friends come together and act like nothing has changed—except for there being kids and more spouses to hang with.
The crew at this wedding was one of a kind. So many adventurers and people full of life. It felt like half of them were either heading to South America or weren't sure where they'd be off to after the wedding. Kindred spirits from the various walks of Joel and Katy's lives, but all connected through them and their contagious joy for life. Needless to say, we had a blast. And the dancing. Oh the dancing. Nary a wallflower was found in the barn that night.
I didn't think sharing life skills would start so early, but this little guy is just a sponge. While he may not be roasting dogs or s'mores in the immediate future, I can already tell his brain is taking notes and picking up on hundreds of little things every day. Like how storing your bib in the back pocket of your jeans gets more style points. And saying "Wooow" to anything remotely cool instantly makes it cooler for everyone.
I didn't know what to expect as a dad, but it's hella fun right now. Thanks dude!
