Battling cancer since 2013. Cancer came back not once, not twice nor even thrice, but 4 times! Beating it always! Fighting! #watchmingbeatcancer I❤️🐱
Work desk This morning. Side effects of the #radiotherapy came full blown rather late, I had the craziest migraine last night and had to be "pushed in". Lost 5kg to the constant vomiting and loss of appetite from last week. At least my swollen leg has subside. #watchmingbeatcancer#cancer#Immunotherapy
Crew cut last night before today's treatment. #cancer markers are still increasing but seems to be slowing down. Complained to the oncologist about the pain at the abdomen and the swollen for don't know how long left leg. PET scans and ultrasound arranged 2 weeks from now. And I am not fit for flying 😩so I'll missed my work travels end of the month. Sigh... disappointed #watchmingbeatcancer#Immunotherapy
I'm here so often that the Nurses know me by name. It's a nice gesture by them and I do appreciate it. Helps to make my day better ☺️ Having a bad day today as the stomach is not working. Reflux since morning and I didn't had much to eat. Crossing my fingers as usual for Low #cancer markers after the #radiotherapy#watchmingbeatcancer#Immunotherapy
First time trying to be a #ceramicist
Wanted the final product to be a vase but it kept breaking, so end product is a Sake cup😒. Not bad la huh... Thank you @dap for the surprise! It's very therapeutic but I'm just too 粗鲁。
Week 200 Day6: My Health #2 •... I almost broke down when I got the news that day. It's like 没完没了, when are all these going to stop. I was angry at everything and it's like back to square one again and again. Knn stop giving me false hopes la, stop making me feel that things is going to be fine but every time it just pushes me back down..fuck! 😖But okay la, I just felt like shit for a few days but I went back to my usual self soon enough to plan my treatment. Steady right? Haha. So we (family) went through many rounds with the radiologist and surgeon and I decided not to operate on my right knee and chose to be on a full leg brace (now you know why I'm on the leg brace). I went ahead with the 6 cycles of radiotherapy on my knee, left eye and right brain. Bring it on!
In Apr, the radiation treatment was completed and I guess it went well. There were some bad side effects to my head such as headaches, hearing echos, giddiness and dry eyes. But still okay la! I can tahan 😑 Good thing is my leg is hurting less now and my double vision was getting better. Unfortunately, the cancer markers were back increasing again. I suspect it could be the swollen lymph nodes in my left side of the body and the nodules in my abdomen. They are hurting and also causing my left side of my lower body to swell most probably due to #lymphedema. As for treatment wise, I am back on Immunotherapy although the markers are increasing. I chose to give Nivolumab another shot and praying that it's going to work for me. *crossing my fingers*
Alright! You are up to date liao! I want to thank everyone again who checked on me constantly and offering encouragements when I was offline. It really meant a lot to me and I really appreciate that. I want you all to know that I am still in this fight and giving up is never an option. Let's look forward to the day I announce that I'm in #remission! Woo! #watchmingbeatcancer 🐱Picture of my shui char bor Nami! 😻
Week 200 Day 6: My Health #1
Hi all! It's really been a while, I'm finally back to my social media life and I really do miss this "digital life" TBH haha.
Just a quick summary of events that happened since I took a break in Dec 2016:
In Dec, while I took the break off SM, I started on #FOLFOX, it is a #chemotherapy that was similar to #FOLFIRI. My oncologist wanted me to try out this chemo as it was pretty much the last cocktail combo I yet to try. But as usual, it did not work for me and we ended stopping at 3rd cycle.
In Jan, I requested to take a break off chemo to celebrate CNY. So I was off all kinds of treatment and practically just enjoying my favorite festive! And at that point, my #cancer markers was increasing so fast that it was crazily high at 2000+. But fuck it, I enjoyed my CNY. LOL😝
In Feb, as I mentioned we had ran out of chemo options, my oncologist offered me to try out #Immunotherapy again. This time, it was a different drug, #Nivolumab. He wasn't confident that it might work but we decided to give it a try. Astonishingly, it worked! My CEA went down to 700+ from 2000+! In Mar, I felt a familiar sharp pain in my right leg and I was having double vision for no reason. So the day after I had my regular PET scan, I requested to get my right knee and my head for #MRI scan. And as I guessed correctly, the bone infection came back. There is tumor growing and surrounding my right knee again. It was so bad this time that it was covering the whole of my right knee. I was offered to go under surgery for my right knee to get nails inserted in my right leg to secure the affected area. The main purpose of doing that is to strengthen the knee to prevent it from breaking. Oh and that's not it, they also found something in my left eye and the right side of the brain. There was a 1 cm #tumor in my left eye socket that's pushing my eyeball down. That was why I was having double vision. And my right brain, they also found a nodule/tumor. Wow.. Just wow.
To be continued...
