Book 1 of 2018’s #30Books was beautiful. It’s been calling me for awhile and I’m glad I read it over winter break and took my time with it. While I read it mostly in bed, I teared up while reading toward the end today in the hair salon. The story is about grief, love, family and hope, all under an umbrella of misunderstood illness and art. #bydhttmwfi | “It turned the whole city into a chorus of our sadness, and after awhile it almost stopped feeling bad and turned into something else. It started to feel like relief.” #mjreadingchallenge2018#instabooks#instareading#newyearnewreads

The #2017bestnine was super political. From the Women’s March to Pride, from Mike to Barack to Hillary. Because, 2017. It also celebrates my new job and a great dress; because, 2017.
I had a dream last night that Democratic victories swept the midterms in 2018. So this is my new year’s card / new year’s wish this year - to make that a reality! Governors seats are also up in several places, so don’t forget to check out who’s running in your area. (#mike4co - join me at donating to his campaign! Link in bio).
