Back view of the @sewtogrow Meridian dress, or as much as instagram will let me show you.
Finished this @sewtogrow Meridian dress and immediately started wearing it, it was perfect for today's weather. Happy with the fit after making a few adjustments as I went, though now I see photos, the bodice/skirt seam is a bit wavy 🤔 version 2 will be on the way shortly!
A hexie idea stalled this project for over a year, but @eligell inspired me to switch to raw edge applique, I'm feeling good about it!
#bpsewvember impulse buy - despite having multiple measuring implements, I picked up this little critter one day on impulse, it fast became one of my most used tools!
#bpsewvember I'm proud of reducing my stash this year! I prefer to only buy fabric for specific projects or at least with a pattern/future plan clearly in mind, but had built up quite a collection of mid and light-weight knits that reached the height of this photo. These four pieces are all that is left after a productive year of sewing 😊 I made a reasonable dent in my wovens too.
#bpsewvember I love French seams too much, I just can't being myself to shortcut with the overlocker when it comes to wovens. Hoping to pick up some good tips today to save time elsewhere!
Had such a great time at #melbournefrocktails last night! Lots of old faces and a few new faces put to instagram handles. And I won a prize! Thanks Renay, my @smallgemdesigns purse is so lovely.
Finally used one of the @willow_and_stitch patterns I won over a year ago! Gosh it came together quickly, looking forward to showing the toddler when she wakes up 🐰
All set for #melbournefrocktails! Lower half reveal only, more to come later. I've had this pattern for years and wish I'd made it sooner, it's such a great pattern. Unfortunately the details are a bit lost with fabric choice, will remember that for the next one. #bpsewvember
October was an excellent sewing month, thanks to two weeks off work, and I didn't even get to show you everything I made 😁 looking forward to a productive November as I have a to-sew/wishlist a mile long, and that's before I add Christmas sewing to the list 😱 Thanks again Jane for the prompt! 😘
November? November!!! Seriously. Like next month is December. How did that happen?
Suggestions needed! How should I finish these cut away darts? Too fiddly to overlock, overcast stitch bunched up the fabric and I don't own pinking shears - any other bright ideas out there? 🤔🙏 #melbournefrocktails
