I remember when I was younger my mom telling me stories about how when she was in college she organized a bus trip of the black student union to travel down to Washington D.C. in the dead of winter in order to make MLK’s birthday into a national holiday. That was the fortitude and drive that he instilled into my mother and all of the young black people around her. She placed that same drive and passion into my brother and I. On this day of reflection and service we must remember that we have the power to do all things.
We still have time to make things better.
This past year has been has been filled with more blessing than I can count in just 9 photos. 2018 I hope to build more, explore more & to love and cherish all the people I have around me more. #2017bestnine#photos#yearwrapup
