#campresolution2017 for September (yes, this is a #latergram) took us up to Mendocino to a safari tent (my dad would be rolling his eyes so hard at this degree of glamping 🙄). We went on a random lighthouse tour at Point Cabrillo (one of only eight days a year that they do it!) and got a special handwritten "pass" from one of the women at the front desk to let us snoop around some of the beautiful outbuildings currently under renovation (you know we love a good historic construction site 👷🏻♀️👷🏻). Oh, and how unbelievable is that *campsite* bathroom??
#campresolution2017 for the month of October took us to Big Sur. We stayed at Treebones Resort (but only a campsite because we wanted to buy new air mattresses that we could use over and over again instead of sleeping in one of the fancy yurts only once). The campsite itself was amazing, but the windstorm each night kept us up (swipe all the way right for a short video! 😱). We had an amazing lunch at the Post Ranch Inn because there's no way we'd ever actually stay there (💸💸💸) and explored beautiful beaches. I'm so glad we continue to do this despite the potential for cold or wet weather. So far, it's paid off!
I've been spending a lot of time on planes lately, and in turn working through my flight anxiety through full-on exposure therapy (whether I like it or not). I successfully meditated through most of my flights yesterday and didn't feel convinced we were going to crash, even through a bunch of turbulence (and yes, I know turbulence doesn't cause plane crashes). I'd call that progress. Plus, the landscape was breathtaking. 🏔
Finally got to see this Bucky ball in person! 🔮 #GHC17
Ground cherries! Loosely related to tomatillos. Savory, sweet, and sour, all at the same time.
Rediscovered this collage I made 5+ years ago. I really need do more experimenting like this... 🤔
