Melting glacier washed back to the shore. Itā€™s wonderful to see, but the rate of glacier melting is bothering. Climate change is real šŸ˜¢ #latepost #traveling #travelphotography #traveler #iceland #southiceland #icebeach #diamondbeach #blacksandbeach #vatnajƶkullnationalpark

Reynisfjara is the famous black sand beach near the town of Vik. According to Icelandic folklore, the basalt sea stacks, known as Reynisdrangar, were once trolls engaged in trying to pull ships from the ocean. However, as bad luck would have it, the dawn quickly arose, turning the trolls into solid stone #latepost Iceland #traveling #travelphotography #traveler #iceland #southiceland #vik #reynisfjara #reynisdrangar #blackbeach #seastacks

Windy and cloudy morning at Seljalandfoss. Three years ago I was here in the summer and got to photograph it from behind. In the winter itā€™s almost impossible to walk behind it without proper equipment, as itā€™s very slippery #latepost #traveling #travelphotography #traveler #iceland #southiceland #seljalandsfoss #waterfall

I read somewhere you donā€™t come to Iceland for Northern Lights, you come for the destination. This was my second trip, deep inside I was hoping to see it but not to be dissapointed, I came to see how Iceland looks in the winter. But Motherā€™s Earth was kind to me. On my first night out in area, I got to see one of the Natural Wonders šŸ™šŸ¼ #traveling #travelphotography #traveler #iceland #snaefellsnespeninsula #kirkjufellmountain #northernlights #auroraborealis

Mission accomplished! Finally, I got the monkey off my back. After a DNF 2 years ago, Thank God I made it to the finish line. It was a tough day, who would have guessed Chicagoā€™s weather can get as high as 28Ā°C and it felt like 30Ā°+C. Both my legs got cramped starting at KM23 and by KM32 I canā€™t run anymore. Walking the last 10K was very painful, Iā€™m glad itā€™s over! #chicagomarathon2017 #chicago #marathon #chicagomarathon40thanniversary

This tiny creature really amazed me. I learned more about Pygmy seahorse during my stay at Wakatobi Dive Resort. I watched a short video by Dr. Richard Smith, of a male pygmy giving birth to dozen or more babies. Fascinating!

Some interesting fact about Dwarf Hawkfish.
Like many fish, this species can change sex. A dominant male keeps a harem of several females. If a harem becomes too large, one of the females may become a male and take on part of the harem as a dominant male. What makes this species unusual is that the new male may revert to the female sex if challenged by a more powerful male. A male can become a female and successfully breed, laying fertile eggs.
