    I do one #medalmonday a year, at the end of my season. 2016 brought a long road that started with plantar fascitis (in both feet!) but ended with my best 5k time in over two years. I'm feeling the bug again and looking forward to trimming back down and making the OCR World Championships in a year.

    Thanks to my run friends, the race organizers, and the state of Michigan for hosting two of these. See y'all in 2017 with some high finishes and a first sub-23 minute 5k at last.

    I've always wanted to be a guy that makes a nice breakfast on a Saturday morning but never started before. No time like the present! Some Orange-Ricotta Pancakes with warm orange maple syrup (inspired by @bobbyflay) and my cast iron pan fried whole garlic, onions, and sausage with deep fried potatoes. Going to need some gym time to make up for this.

    Tonight I made my first attempt at my girl's favourite, Linguine with Clams. Sauteed a few garlic cloves in olive oil, then added clams and white wine. Removed the clams as they opened, then finished by cooking the linguini and some pasta water and parsley together. Turned out alright, might ramp up the garlic and add some chili flakes next time.

    The Spartan Sprint is complete at 110 minutes, a reasonable time for a dude with a torn rotator cuff. Now we rest the wounds before tomorrow's Spartan Super, of course!
