Lover of Jesus. Wife to Tanner. Momma to Maverick, Crosby, Milo, Porter and another baby in Heaven.
Words can’t begin to describe how blessed, grateful and honored I am to have so many women in my life who love Porter and love me. I had planned a big speech to say when everyone was gathered but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. But here it is:
The past year has proven that even in the midst of difficulties and pains, good remains around each corner. Glimmers of light bring forth hope and promise of joy. Each of my dear friends and family (pictured and not) brought hope at the perfect timing. With sitting in the ER waiting room, watching Maverick, flowers, dinners, text and calls, sweet gifts of remembrance of our boys, sitting with me, crying with me, rejoicing with me and even letting me hold your new babies without fear of me breaking down. Each of you prayed for me and over me. You each restored a part of deep, dark brokenness as God led you. You each mean more to me, Tanner, Maverick and even Porter than you’ll ever know. You each are where and are where the light shines through.
Thank you for today, for blessing me and my girl. For being okay with my awkwardness and lack of being able to be the center of attention. Thank you for being friends, sisters and aunts and grandmas to my girl. She’s blessed to have wisdom and grace embodied around her constantly.
We love each of you.
I can’t believe I’m about to share my heart with another one of these creatures. I can’t comprehend how she will even begin to compare to him (but I’m excited and ready to see).
Mav and his new bed with his old pal.
Donut date this morning with my boy. He was so pumped about a green donut and I was so pumped about how precious he is (and the donuts and coffee.)
We got to see our girl for the last time before we have her! She’s breeched but it was fun to see her scratch her head with her toes and playing with her feet! She’s chunky and has a lot of hair already they said. She’s weighing in at 2lbs 3oz and perfectly healthy! In the words of the doctor, “Thank you Jesus, praise God!” We can’t wait to meet you Porter, our love grows for you each day 💕
Our last leg of the trip was to Waco for the Silobration. Mav got to go to his first Jon Foreman concert, so that was a highlight for Tanner!
Fourth leg of our family vacation before baby Porter comes was us staying a few days on the Guadalupe in a tipi- we fished, grilled and relaxed. (Mav wasn’t too happy to leave this part.)
Third stop was to Kerrville to fellowship with Pastor Doug and Julie! Thankful for times of encouragement and rest with these guys!
Second leg of the trip we stayed with Grandpa George and enjoyed his cows and farm!
Our first leg of our vacation has been a blast! Big thanks to Pastor Rod and Noreen, Chris, Bethany, Asher, And Selah for all the goodness Corpus Christi has to offer! Now on to the next adventure...
Mav got to have a dream come true today and be a firefighter! Thanks League City Fire Department 🚒 and thank you for all you do!
