Just wow. My forth Summit, this time getting to witness some of the behind the scenes on how it all comes together. I have to say I’ve never been more grateful to work for such an incredible movement with people that have become an integral part of my life. I moved across the country three and a half years ago for this opportunity, and it was the best decision I ever made. I now have a role I’d never dream was possible, and I’m making the impact I feel in my bones I was born to make. Thank you @miguelmckelvey Adam @citizenofwe @kyokeefesally for building a part of history. #wearewework

✌🏾FAM! if you know me you know how much I love this country 🇺🇸 the people, the freedoms, and the opportunity that we have built. After the last election I felt like my heart was broken 💔, and I knew I needed to do more to fight for the progress we’ve made and the progress we’ve yet to make. Over the past year I’ve been working on a project with my ladies 👯‍♀️ @glennisrogers and @ilanusglazer called @generatorcollective. Our goal is to build a community around real stories and experiences on how people have been impacted by policy - to help reduce the political divide by helping people relate to one another. Please follow @generatorcollective and create a video 🎬 yourself! DM me if you have any questions or feedback ✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿

Wow! It’s been a year since I experienced what I could only describe as heartbreak - that my fellow Americans voted a monster in to office that threatens every core value I believe in. Yesterday gave me a new hope, seeing the diversity flow into public office. Let’s keep this momentum going!! See below for an awesome recap by @cdubbs913
•
Yesterday, Democrats flipped 16 seats in the state legislature in Virginia, from many districts that weren’t even contested in 2016. Virginia also elected its second ever black lieutenant governor. •
Hoboken, NJ elected a Sikh mayor. And speaking of New Jersey, they’ve got a Democratic governor now and their first black lieutenant governor. •
Athens, GA flipped several red seats into Democratic ones. •
The first transgender state representative was elected, and defeated the man who wrote the bathroom bill against transgender individuals. The first trans woman of color was elected to Minneapolis’ city council. •
St. Paul elected their first black mayor. •
Charlotte elected their first black woman mayor. •
Seattle elected their first lesbian woman as a mayor. •
The first openly transgender man to ever be elected in Pennsylvania was elected to the Erie, PA School Board. •
The first two Latinas were elected to Virginia’s House of Delegates. •
Delaware County, PA elector their first Democrat and first black Sherriff. •
Helena, MT elected their first black mayor, and Liberian refugee (and the first black mayor in Montana in general). •
A man who ran on reforming the justice system and its oppressive tactics on marginalized groups run the DA position in Philadelphia. •
Maine voted to expand Medicaid to cover 80,000 new people with health insurance. •
A man who lost his girlfriend to gun violence, who was shot and killed on live tv, won his race as an anti-gun violence candidate. •
Manchester, NH elected their first woman mayor. •
Of the 16 seats flipped in Virginia? 8 were flipped by women, against Republican men. •
Provo, UT elected their first woman mayor. •
A Sudanese-American Muslim woman is now the first Muslim woman and first immigrant to serve on the Iowa City Council.

Will share more soon... but one of the coolest things about our wedding was getting to make our own arrangements. I was at the SF Flower Market at 6am with my dad where I got to pick from hundreds of amazing flowers. These are some of the arrangements I designed, with the amazing help of @bartonsmith of course. Huge shout out to @conno_r and @lunalady for letting us take over their home to make it happen. ❤️🌷🌿 #diywedding #diyweddingflowers

This album. I remember when I first fell in love with Matt Berninger's voice, I choke up thinking about how influential his lyrics and sounds are on how I feel about my stage of life, on my surroundings, and on my perspective of who I am and who I will continue to become as a person. #troublewillfindme

My fourth @WeWork Summer Camp. Crazy to think I've been here for 3 years - that's longer than any job I've had! Thanks all for a weekend of walking thousands of steps, making new friends, dancing our faces off and exploring London for the first time. #wwsummercamp17 #wwcamp17
