Super-excited to get this in the mail today! For the first time ever the soundtrack to the 2001 film “Josie and the Pussycats” has been released on vinyl. Besides the fact that Kay Hanley (Letters to Cleo) is the voice of Josie, the musical collaborators on this album include Adam Duritz (Counting Crows), Bif Naked, Adam Schlesinger (Fountains of Wayne), Steve Hurley (Gigolo Aunts), Jason Falkner (Jellyfish), Matthew Sweet, Jane Wiedlin (Go-Gos) and Michael Eisenstein (Letters to Cleo). Who knew it would still hold up with its bratty, raw essence after 16 years? #josieandthepussycats#vinyl
When Emma was born my friend Andrew gifted me a book called “Father to Daughter: Life Lessons on Raising a Girl.” Emma gets a kick out of reading passages aloud to me. This one especially made her crack up.
This week was a heavy show. I’m discussing life changes and what the Harvey Weinstein scandal means for our social conscience. (Link in bio to subscribe)
Words cannot describe how much I needed this drink right now. It’s been a week. We’re all thinking about the horror in Vegas and the loss of Tom Petty - and that’s more than enough. Yesterday, I got blindsided on the employment front. I’ll be ok, but I’m still processing. I hope your week is going better than mine...
RIP Tom Petty.
I’ve got a brand new episode of the American Cliché podcast for you all! This week I’m discussing the #NFL and the CTE problem. We’ll also touch on Trump and the humanitarian crisis in Puerto Rico. Oh, and I’m sure there’s some funny shit too... Link in bio.
I'm taking this week off from doing the show. That means it's a great time to get caught up and leave a review in iTunes. (Link in Bio)
