Pristine beaches on Fraser Island. We had an awesome few days enjoying the dunes, dingos and jaw dropping-ly beautiful scenery.
THE best views today over The Great Barrier Reef! Having sailed, snorkelled and swam in the Coral Sea earlier on in the week, we wanted to take a peek from above. What a treat! Flying as low as 200ft above the water we were able to spot Turtles, Manta Rays and if my eyes weren't tricking me Dolphins! A reef as big as Italy we only saw a tiny bit, but I already know I want to come back and explore more! .
On a side note, I was also keen to find out that our pilot has ferried Sir David Attenborough in the very same plane on a similar journey. I bet he would have excellent commentary!
Best beach of Aus so far! Swirly swirly beauty at Whitehaven Beach. The finest white sand, crystal clear waters with sleeping sting rays to play with and more or less a private beach to ourselves! Excellent sailing trip around The Whitsundays!
Fell in love with a Koala 💗 (and judging from his tight grasp of my arm, the feeling was mutual). I'm not usually into animals on display for tourists but a donation gave me a quick cuddle and knowledge it's going to help protect this endangered specie. Well worth being pooped on and a cringe worthy photo 🐨🐨🐨
So Australia is pretty nice ... first beach of the road trip - Bondi. Epic surf, beautiful sunset and nice vibes. Don't ever want to leave! 🌊🏄🏼🏝🇦🇺
We have spent the last week island hopping in the Yasawas in Fiji. Living in beach front huts with no (or very limited) electricity, no wifi, no hot water and no indoor showers has been amazing! Instead of the home comforts we were able to Snorkel every day with Reef Sharks, all the characters from Finding Nemo and beautiful coral gardens! And of course enjoy the pristine white sandy beaches with a bottle of Rum. 🍹🐠🌴💛
Somewhere on the Tongariro Crossing aka Mordor. 19.4km hike, 8 hours in knee deep snow. This was just before we had to put our cramp-ons on and utilise our ice axes! It's a shame we were in a total white out as we did miss out on the views, but it did feel like I'd ventured beyond the wall. Can't really complain about that!
Mount Nguaruhoe aka #MtDoom 🔥🌋 An active volcano within the Tongariro National park - the perfect symmetrical pointy mountain! We spent 8 hours hiking 20 kilometres around this mountain the day before in a total white-out winter's day. So I just had to get a snap when we woke up to this epic view! .
Wai-O-Tapu - Champagne Pool. Looks like the path to Mordor if you ask me! Pretty stinky but an awesome experience to see. There are lots of Geothermal features amongst this part of the North Island including volcanoes, bubbling and gurgling mud pools, natural hot springs capable of producing actual boiling water and steamy craters. Felt like a Geography student for the day 🤓and bloody loved it! .
