Today I start a challenge to knit a sweater in one month, called #NaKniSweMo. This challenge is the culmination of everything I've learnt this year about knitting and clothes. More and more I choose to knit instead of buying something made for pennies in a 3rd world country. While not everyone can make their own clothes (I can't make everything I wear either) I would encourage everyone to care about where their clothes come from and choose quality over quantity. A $20 sweater is only cheap upfront, but it comes with with a big price tag attached, both human and environmental.
