It’s been a minute since I’ve traveled and seen a new part of our dark, beautiful, twisted, awe-inspiring world.
I took this picture almost a year ago when I was in Northern Finland’s Lapland region. The oxygen, the purity and the sounds of your breathe amplify the frozen paradise. It was a trip of a lifetime, one that will be sewn into the fabrics of my mind for a lifetime.
This picture in particular was taken during sunset at around 2:30PM local time. A serenity can be felt through the trees, frozen with life, being blanketed by the dancing hues of the sky and sun.
This image, more than anything, is to remind me that I need to pause, face my fears once again, and book a trip where I’m at the mercy of fate. This one’s for you, Sam. Do it.
No matter how thick the fog, beauty always awaits. Enjoy the struggle and you'll appreciate coming out of it infinitely more.
No matter how dark and cloudy it gets, remember the sun is always shining behind it.
Keep your head up. There's always something waiting for you at the end of the road.
"Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless — like water. Now you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup; You put water into a bottle it becomes the bottle; You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash."
Take a moment today to appreciate how beautiful the world we're living in is.
