5k speed work in preparation for my race this weekend ✅
2 mile cool down back home ✅
40 minute Chisel Balance ✅
I'm ok with my 5k time this morning. Hoping for a little better on race day, but not expecting much better since I've heard it's pretty hilly. 🏃🏼♀️
Funny how after 3 miles of giving it your all, then slowing down to your average pace for a cool off period, you feel like you could go forever. Might have to implement that strategy for my half marathons this fall. 🤔
I still suck at balance! Just over 2 weeks left in this program. 💪🏻
#negativesplits ending with a 7:33 for my 5k speed work this morning!!! I'll take it!
Today's original plan was to ride to the golf course with my husband and run the 10.5 miles back home. But after checking the route, I found construction, blind corners with small shoulders on a 55mph road, and an intersection with no traffic light where I'd have to cross 5 lanes of traffic. So I decided against it and stayed home to do speed work instead. And boy am I happy I did!! Not a lot of mileage today, but that pace!!! ❤️it! And I may have done a small fist bump 👊🏻 in the air when that mile 3 time flashed across my #Garmin 🙈🤷🏼♀️
