At the short term city council meeting where these people will restrict, tax and inhibit citizens in favor of the hotel industry adding 14 dollars a night onto our nightly rates, which are far lower, particularly in summer, than regular hotel rates. It’s a shame that they continue to tax those of us who use the income to help pay for our rising tax assessments, rising mortgages and the ever increasing levy assessments because our government can’t seem@to@spend wisely. Case in point is our street which as gone unrepaired for decades that you can practically break an axel on. To make our citizens pay equal amount of taxes as@the hotel lobby while also letting developers in our city run rampant over our infrastructure and not pay their fair share is shameful. Furthermore, we provide a service to visitors and family who cannot afford $350/night in the summer. They come for weddings, reunions, births and to see our city from all over the world. #seattlecitycouncil#airbnb#airbnbhost#bruceharrell#seattle#washington#shorttermrentals#hoteltax#taxes#overtaxed#washington#airbnblife#vrborental#seattletourist
