If there is one constant in my life, it's my love for a great cheeseburger and fries! 😍 So while in Houston for a few days, I decided to check out a spot I've never been to before called "Bernie's Burger Bus!" It has a school theme - everything from lockers to a real school bus as the kitchen! What I loved though were the names of the menu items: The Principal, The Substitute, The Cheerleader, The Class Clown, Homeroom, Recess, and Fire Drill, just to name a few. The condiments are called "Electives."
I decided to be naughty and ordered "Detention!" LOL. That's two double-cheddar cheeseburger patties, with "tipsy" onions (marinated in Jack Daniels), shredded lettuce, slow-roasted garlic tomatoes, pickles, and house-made mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup, sandwiched between two crispy bacon, grilled cheese, buttery sourdough sandwiches! Damn - that was a lot of writing! LOL. 😝 AND a lot of eating! As if that weren't enough, I also ordered a side of french fries with Italian white truffle oil, parmesan, and green onions. I washed it all down with a sweet strawberry lemonade! Now doesn’t all of that sound downright yummy?! LOL. If you're ever in H-Town, you know what to do! 😉
I started the most incredible weekend at Pappasito’s Cantina, so naturally it’s only right to finish it the same way. This weekend has been one for the books. Thank you @tazreen220 and @cromerzome for allowing me to be a part of your big day(s). I love you both so much and I am wishing you all the best as you start this next chapter!
Good Morning….Yes, I want to grow my business. Yes, I want you to buy my products and Yes, I want to provide jobs. However, at the same time, I want to help you grow yours. If it’s ok with you, I want to be your teacher and share the knowledge I've gained from being an Award Winning Sales Manager, an Executive Level Employee of a Fortune 500 company and a Serial Entrepreneur. I’m a research Queen, super analytical with a voracious appetite for all thing business, politics, and history. Things rolling through my head this morning:
There were 28.8 million small businesses in 2016.
11.3 million or 38% were women-owned businesses.
Nearly 5 million minority women-owned firms in the U.S. This accounts for nearly 44% of women-owned businesses in
2012: 8 million minority-owned businesses or 28.8% of all businesses in the United States.
2014: 52% of U.S. businesses were home-based.
Most importantly; Small businesses provide 55% of all jobs and 66% of all net new jobs since the 1970’s. That says to me we/small business owners are creating 66% of all new jobs, which is more than our government. If you don't support us we can’t create new jobs. If you agree, please repost & share with 20 people.
